Barnaby’s is a community coffee shop in the beautiful village of Swanmore, set next to St.Barnabas Church. Originally built in Victorian times as the Old School Room, it had a rich history in education until the Primary School was built across the road. After a long period of little use by the village or the church, the building was completely refurbished in 2014 by a team of volunteers, and Barnaby’s opened in October that year. Images from Barnaby’s history hang on its walls today.
Barnaby’s is a vibrant hub for the Meon Valley for two principle reasons.
1. it provides a comfortable place to relax, meet friends and chat.
2. we donate in the region of £5,000 every year to local charities and good causes.
In Barnaby’s, you’ll find freshly ground barista-made coffee and the most wonderful homemade cakes here, alongside hot chocolate, tea, cold drinks etc. Because Barnaby’s is run entirely by volunteers, you’ll always get a lovely welcome!
