Congratulations to the winners of our fabulous new “Cuppa & Colour” events, which ran all the way through August and finished this afternoon. Lots of great kids brought their mums along for coffee and a chat while they got on with the serious business of colouring.
The winners are:
Week 1 – Annabelle
Week 2 – Isobel
Week 3 – Natalie
See their work on the big screen in Barnaby’s today!
“Cuppa & Colour” is a new weekly colouring competition for your little ones, with prizes for the best artists and a different theme every week! Yes, it’s your chance to enjoy a well earned break while we entertain your children!
Join in the fun every Tuesday afternoon throughout August at Barnaby’s.
No need to book – just turn up!
Every Thursday throughout August, Ruth Cummings will read from “Emily’s Heli-Hat and other stories”, while you sit back and enjoy a well-deserved coffee! Who knows – maybe a slice of cake too…
Stories start at 10.30, and will run for about an hour while you relax.
No need to book – just turn up, but remember to bring your children!
Your favourite coffee shop looked a little different today, in preparation for a party to thank all our amazing volunteer baristas and cake-bakers!
Barnaby’s had been decorated with balloons and bunting to welcome all 50-or-so people who had been invited, so that we could say a big “Thank you!” to them all. Those who came along enjoyed a delicious cream tea and a glass of chilled champagne. Perfection!

Summer has arrived!
To celebrate Barnaby’s will be offering BBQ sausages in a roll this Saturday from 11:30 to 2. The normal Barnaby’s tea, coffee and cakes etc will be available as usual from 10:00.
So why not plan a lunchtime walk and snack this Saturday!
Swanmore Open Gardens starts and finishes at Barnaby’s again today, with a minibus running every 30 minutes around the village to see the 11 gardens on display. They vary from small & intimate, to a large country house.
Tickets are available outside Barnaby’s from 1230 today, and the coffee shop will have special extended hours to ensure that you get a well deserved cuppa after your visit. We look forward to seeing you.
That was the state of Barnaby’s for the Saturday and Sunday afternoon of the first Swanmore Open Gardens weekend of 2015.
It was lovely to welcome so many visitors to Swanmore with a selection of delicious home-made cakes, with our regular selection of teas and coffees. Some visitors chose to start at Barnabys, others waited until the end, and some did both! But a great weekend for The Open Gardens, Barnaby’s and the supported charities!
The weather is perfect for this weekend’s Swanmore Open Gardens. Five gardens are open today and seven tomorrow. Tickets (£6) available from 12:30 on both days from the car park outside Barnaby’s. Minibus runs you around between the gardens.
We will be open both afternoons for coffee, tea and of course cake!
Hope to see you!
The weather is warming up (hooray!) in Swanmore this week and we have a special just in case you need to cool down.
Cornetto Classico and Orange Calippo – only £1 each while stocks last.
So take a walk in the sunshine and have an ice cream or lolly at Barnaby’s. Or have a coffee and cake and let the kids have a cooling treat!
With the long Easter week-end over, our opening hours are back to normal, so why not drop in for a cup of tea or coffee during the school holidays?
And if you have a couple of hours or so to spare in a week, why not volunteer to join our team? Ask a team leader about it next time you are in or click here!
