A collection of 50 stunning Classic Cars enjoyed the autumnal sunshine outside Barnaby’s this morning, including three stunning E-Type Jaguars. Our famous popup coffee shop was on hand to keep the owners happy, offering tea, coffee and yummy homemade cakes from our friends at Bishops Waltham Country Market. As at previous events, we agreed to give all the money we collected to a local charity. Today we chose our local partners at the St.George Foundation.
To Pete, Roger, Berty, Sarah, Vicky, Chrissie & Sharon, the BBT would like to say a huge “thank you” for all the help you gave towards this summers events. Well done! You did it!
Barnaby’s Summer Schedule kicks off this week. Our opening hours from now until Tuesday 6th September will be:
- Thursday (10-12 and 2-4)
- Friday (10-12 and 2-4)
- Saturday (10-1)
If you are a volunteer and would like to pick up a shift or two, please log in to ShiftController today and grab the shifts you’d like. We look forward to seeing you!
On Saturday 18th June, we’ll be hosting a number of trainee dogs from Hounds For Heroes as part of our Charity Awareness Scheme. Come and meet ‘Aurora’ and her handler John Branson. She is a 12-month old golden retriever in training for Hounds For Heroes. In the next year, she will join a higher training program ahead of becoming an assistant dog. John will be able to tell you the amazing things that these dogs are capable of and how they are trained.
Half of Barnaby’s takings on Saturday will be added to your donations, and sent to Hounds For Heroes. Please come and give them your support.
As some of you know, we recently received Planning Permission for our new all-weather awning. The groundworks started on Thursday 5th May, and will take two weeks to complete. While this is going on, not all our outdoor seating at the front will be available, but there’s plenty round the side where we have recently added more tables!
Our Classic Car Summer kicks off this weekend, with a welcome return to a collection of stunning vehicles from private collectors around the Meon Valley.

With up to 50 cars expected at each event, we’ll be in the main car park opposite Barnaby’s. If you are attending, you may arrive any time from 0945, when a marshal will show you to a space where you can display your car. The event will be supported by Barnaby’s “popup” coffee shop, serving coffee, tea and yummy homemade cakes made by our friends at Bishops Waltham Country Market. Barnaby’s will nominate a charity on the day, and all our proceeds will go to that charity.
Head to https://barnabys.coffee/classiccarsummer for details of all our gatherings this year.
We’d love to hear from you if you’re interested in looking after the 5 or 6 flowerboxes outside Barnaby’s. As the Spring approaches, we’d love for them to look fabulous once more. We’ll pay for the bulbs/seeds/plants that you buy of course, so we’d just need a little bit of your time please!
Interested? Just head to barnabys.coffee/contact and get in touch! Thank you.
